I saw the FloydProject dancers and they were awesome! Great audience appeal and it was empowering to the women in the audience as well. Debra K. Floyd, the founder and choreographer, had a great solo but her dancers commanded the stage both Sat and Sun [I didn't see the Friday show]. “Not Every Woman...What's Your Story?' is worth a look. I only wish more had seen them perform. Definitely worth the price of the ticket.

I went to the Fringe Sat and Sun and saw a powerful affirmation of womanhood performed by the
FloydProject
. The fluid, powerful, heart rendering performances by a diverse group of women dancers lead by founder Debra Floyd was of top knotch caliber! Not Every Woman offered thought provoking commentary taken from stories submitted to the FloydProject website. Themed music stayed on focus of womens lives in the workforce, abusive relationships and empowerment to leave them, and triumph and affirmation of their beauty-inward and outward. Not to be missed. Sadly, Mr. Marks must not have seen FloydProject! Pity! When you hear of FloydProject performing, hurry and get tickets!

Absolutely wonderful! Deborah, you and your dance troupe should take your work to bigger audiences. I loved it and could watch it over and over again!! Deborah your piece was on. It definitely spoke to me, as an older woman who wants to dance.
Hope to see you soon,
Joan

The first time I saw your work was at Take Back the Night a while ago and it was definitely a highlight for me. I really appreciate your company's mission. I was wondering if dedicating the company to empowerment for women would be limiting, but after seeing you perform a few times, I realize that the possibilities are endless. I'm not sure what that says for our society...It's important that your company is out there.

“The FloydProject Dance Company's performance at our 26th Annual Take Back the Night March and Rally was a high point of the event. It was one of those rare moments when a performance captures the spirit and purpose of an event in a way that no words or speech could have. The emotion summoned by the performance and the dancers was vicariously healing and cathartic for our attendees. It was definitely more than we bargained for.”

“The Floyd Project Dance Project is like poetry in motion, energy thru dance of the social issues affecting our society. It is a sight to behold & one which will have you dancing not caring if the whole world is watching.”
