Hope
Byers
As a young dancer, Hope studied at the L’Eee
Shee School of Dance & Gurstha’s School of Dance. The Bastrop, LA
native also trained under renowned Jazz artist, Joe Tremaine. She has
received professional training from instructors at Southern University
& such acclaimed artists as, Bebe Miller, Lula Washington, Milton
Myers, and Ron K. Brown. Hope has performed locally with Tyrone
Murray’s Rafiki Dance Theatre & independently with Reggie Glass and
Helanius Wilkins. She is also a member of Full Circle Dance Co. in
Baltimore, MD, a substitute dance instructor and choreographer. |

Pirjo Garby
Pirjo began training in modern dance as a teenager at Kontulan
Nuorisotalo (KN) in Helsinki, Finland. She performed with KN’s youth
dance group and later joined Eija Aspholm’s QuickSteps ensemble. Pirjo
eventually became a youth dance instructor and choreographer at KN.
After a hiatus from dance, Pirjo moved to Washington, DC and began
performing with Tyrone Murray’s Afro-jazz dancers. She has also
explored the world of classical ballet, modern, and other jazz forms in
DC and New York City.

Kristy Spivey
Kristy's passion for dance
started at
age 8 in Fort Hood, Texas. She fell in love with ballet, modern,
& contemporary jazz. While living in Germany, she danced with
the Leipheim Dance Group at German-American cultural festivals.
Kristy has also worked with Broadway choreographer Betsy
Acree-McClenahan as both a cast member & Assistant Choreographer in
her senior production of the musical "Sweet Charity." |

Aliya Wong
Aliya began dancing and performing
at the age of
nine in Fredericksburg, VA. In the early years, she channeled her
dance expression through clogging, drill team and her high school dance
squad. While attending college, Aliya performed with and
choreographed for Rhythmic Blue Dance Company. After college,
Aliya moved to New York City where she began training in more
traditional dance forms such as ballet, modern, and jazz. While
continuing to focus on jazz dance, Aliya has extended her training in
Washington DC to include African, belly dance, and hip-hop. Aliya
is proud to be a founding member of The FloydProject Dance Company.

Tiffany Workman
Tiffany Workman is thrilled to be a member of the creative Floyd
Project Dance Company. Currently a sophomore at Montgomery College,
Tiffany is studying towards her Associates degree in Dance. During her
young career, Tiffany has applied her ballet, jazz, modern and hip-hop
training for production performances with the Moscow State Ballet,
Motion Mania Professional Dance Company and Montgomery College Dance
Company. When she is not busy dancing, Tiffany pursues her other
passion; early, childhood education with the ultimate goal of combining
both passions by teaching instructional dance for children with special
needs.

Giavanna Wright
Giavanna started dancing when she was 11 years old and fell in
love. Giavanna graduated from the University of North Carolina at
Greensboro with a BFA in Dance, where she got her first taste of modern
dance. She has worked with choreographers such as B.J. Sullivan,
Jan Van Dyke, John Gamble, and Gerri Houllihan. She has since
moved back to Maryland to teach dance and also performs with Motion
Mania Dance Theater Company.
